Who I am and why I'm running
First and foremost, I am a man who loves his family and who seeks to glorify God in everything I do.
I was born in Anchorage Alaska and grew up in the beautiful community of Eagle River where I often enjoyed hiking its mountains and exploring its trails. I was raised in a family with 8 siblings and received my education at home where my parents taught me the values of thinking for oneself, logic, and problem solving.
I met my wife Haylee in 2010 and we were married in 2012. Since then we have added 3 amazing little boys to our family, with a 4th expected early this Summer. We have made our home in the Mat-Su Valley since we've been married and have lived in the Wasilla city limits since January of 2019. We own and operate 2 businesses and can't help but dream up more entrepreneurial pursuits on a regular basis. .
Outside of business and politics, I enjoy a challenging game of Chess, am a Deacon at my church, and help to lead a financial coaching group in the Valley.
After having been involved in politics in some capacity or another for the last 15+ years of my life, it feels like I've grown up eating, sleeping and breathing about the rule of law and the Constitutional bounds of government. I've been privileged to learn from and sit under the mentorship of both small-government thought leaders and pro-life champions.
My History in Alaska
I've volunteered my time on many campaigns, including Joe Miller's Senate campaign in both 2010 and 2014. I sat on the Board of Director's and was Vice President of Alaska Right to Life before becoming the Executive Director in 2013. Though I resigned from that position in early 2018 to refocus on family, I never lost what I believe is a God-given call to influence government for righteousness.
